Christine Schultze
Massage Therapist
Christine believes that a combination of stretching, strength training, and massage therapy is crucial to keeping our bodies in optimal condition. Keeping a low pain level and maintaining range of motion is important, especially as we age. Christine has over 20 years of experience in massage therapy and encourages everyone to get both sides of their body in balance with one another.
Christine has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Her plan to go to physical therapy for graduate school was changed when Christine discovered that she enjoyed working with the tissues and muscles more than the joints during an internship. Christine chose a massage therapy program that aligned with her science background. She graduated from High-Tech Institute in Minnesota in 2005. Christine's massage techniques are based on Western medicine.
Christine has the gift of being heavy-handed. Since a young age, she always wrote and typed with lots of pressure. Therefore, it is easier for Christine to use heavy pressure than lighter pressure.  Christine specializes in therapeutic deep tissue massages.
Everyone's body responds differently to massage therapy; therefore, each treatment plan is individualized. Christine starts massages in the place that "hurts the worst" to ensure that you get attention to the area you need the most.
Besides deep tissue massage, Christine also has experience with swedish, prenatal, and geriatric massage.  In addition, Christine regularly uses hot and cold therapy, aromatherapy and cupping to enhance your massage.
