Jill has had a calling to serve those struggling with mental health and needing trauma informed care. Her main focus is the nervous system, whether that presents as mental health, pain, neuropathy or sciatica, she is all about how to calm the nervous system down so the body can heal. She has acquired special training for trauma support and will work along side Western approaches to make sure mental health struggles are address from all sides of the equation. Additionally, she specializes in pain, surgery prep and recovery and always addresses the emotional toll chronic pain and nerve issues like neuropathy, can have on a person.
Jill has a keen sense for herbal medicine and often create custom therapeutic herbal teas for her patients to increase the results and believes that the acupuncture is meant to be combined with healthy food choices and herbal medicine. Jill sees the elegance of integrative medicine approaches that focus on the whole person when treating health concerns– acknowledging the interconnectedness of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual components that are all contributors to our wellbeing.
Jill finds great rewards in guiding, supporting and empowering patients with their gameplan for their individual health goals. In her own experience she has found that sometimes even the smallest shift can lead to transformative outcomes. She uses acupuncture specific to each individual’s presenting concerns that guide the body to heal, balance organ systems, maintain health, and protect against disease. An integrative approach invites an individual to form, explore, expand, and condense the model of action that fits for them as individuals.
Jill’s areas of special interest include:
- Behavioral health, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and PMS related mood issues
- Neurological conditions such as essential tremors, neuropathies, Parkinson’s and MS
- Gastrointestinal concerns, IBS, leaky gut
- Surgery support – pre and post
Jill Wall studied at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR in 2009; AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX graduating in 2013 with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree (MAOM). Jill is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Jill is dedicated to actively participating in her own personal development and recovery. Granting herself permission to be exactly where she is at any given moment, and even embracing this, has led to a more profound alignment between herself and others enabling her to show up and meet patients exactly where they are at.
